The team will begin with a visit to various groups, including those based at the community centre and Sure Start, to find out local residents’ main concerns.
Members will will also be taking part in a meeting of Horden Colliery Residents’ Association at the Salvation Army Hall, in Dene Street, at 5pm on Wednesday, February 18.
Three drop-in sessions will also be held from noon to 3pm at Horden Social Welfare Centre in Seventh Street on Thursday, February 12, Thursday, March 5 and Thursday, March 19.
Joanne Waller, head of environment, health and consumer protection at Durham County Council, said: “We are keen for as many people in Horden East as possible to come along to the drop-in sessions and residents’ meeting and make sure their voices are heard so our Community Action Team can target the issues that matter most.”
