Plans have been unveiled to convert a former Wingate pub into four shop units and five apartments. A planning application has been submitted to Durham County Council seeking permission for the development at The Queens Head, Front Street West, Wingate. Consideration is pending.
ROCK AND ROLL: A rock and roll evening featuring Lula and the Bee-Bops will be held at the Easington Social Welfare Hall in Seaside Lane, Easington Colliery, from 7pm to late on Saturday, April 19. Admission is £5 on the door.
CHANGE OF USE: A application has been submitted to Durham County Council seeking permission to change the use of 80 Beverley Way, Peterlee, from a retail unit to a hot food takeaway restaurant.
