A TEENAGER has been banned from setting foot inside Durham after plaguing local businesses for months.
Over an eight week-period, 17-year-old Adrian Collins caused so much trouble in the city that police were called to 26 incidents of public order and criminal damage involving the Stockton teenager.
Officers said the teenage troublemaker became “a massive drain on police resources”.
On Friday, Collins was given a Criminal Behaviour Order at Newton Aycliffe Youth Court which bans him from entering the city
PC Darrell Brown, of the Durham City Neighbourhood Team, said: “The granting of this order will be a huge relief for businesses and the public in Durham City.
“Collins’ behaviour has had a huge impact on residents and business owners. Behaviour of this kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”
If Collins breaches the order by entering the city, it would be a criminal offence for which he can be immediately arrested.
