A HOSPICE has picked up a national award thanks to its human resources team.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice in Durham was presented with the award at the Charity Times Awards, held in London.
Karen Grigg, head of human resources said: “We were thrilled to be nominated for this award and to actually win was a great surprise. Although we credit ourselves in delivering a first class service to our staff and volunteers, we are always looking for opportunities to improve. We couldn’t do what we do without everyone’s support.”
Chief executive Paul Marriott said: “Our human resources department play a vital role in the continued growth and success of the hospice.”
The hospice is recruiting extra volunteers in varied roles to help make a difference to those living with life-limiting illnesses in County Durham.
