A PERFORMING arts school made famous by the TV show Dragons’ Den is to hold an open day for new children.

Razzamataz, which won the backing of dragon Duncan Bannatyne is to hold a free event on Saturday (sept 17) at its Durham branch, which opened in 2014.

Children aged two to 18 can try some of the sessions available at the performing arts school, including singing, drama and dance.

Alison Beveridge, Principal of Razzamataz Durham, said. “One of the things that sets us apart is that we really follow current trends in performing arts so we are able to build a generation of confident, fit young performers.

“Razz skills keep young people active, instill a confidence and pride and encourage social skills, all of which are vital today.

“We are proud to offer a diverse curriculum that offers musical theatre skills as well as street dance and pop singing."
