A MAN has been charged with the murder of a North-East grandfather.
Daniel Johnson, 20, formerly of Morris Street, Gateshead is due in court following the death of David Wilson.
Mr Wilson, 49, who was a former assistant manager of the shopping centre now known at Gates, in Durham, was found dead inside an address in Southwick Road, Sunderland on Sunday, December 14, 2014.
Mr Wilson, originally from Hetton, and had lived at the Southwick Road flat for a few weeks before he died and had also lived in Sunderland city centre.
Johnson has been charged and will appear at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning.
