THE father of an autistic boy has set himself three running challenges to raise money to help his son’s special school.

David Mortemore, dad to six-year-old Harry, is running the Durham City 10k in July, the Great North Run in September and the Loch Ness marathon two weeks later.

He is raising money to help Durham Trinity School, which is for disabled children and pupils with special needs.

Mr Mortemore, of Lilian Terrace, Langley Park, said: “The school have done so much for Harry and I am fundraising to raise as much money as possible for them.

“I have run the Great North Run twice for the school but this year I want to step up a level. I am calling this 'Trio for Trinity' and hope to raise over £1,000.

“I am looking for companies to donate things I can raffle or auction, will hold dress down days at work, bake sales and also do many other things including a 40 mile walk over the Yorkshire moors in June.

“The school do so much for the lovely disabled kids who don't have things very easy yet they always smile and I hope to now give something back for everything they do for Harry.”
