A LEADING historian will give a prestigious public lecture next week (Monday, October 19).
Lord Peter Hennessy, the Attlee Professor of Contemporary British History at Queen Mary University in London, will give the Borderlands lecture in Durham on Monday, October 19.
In a talk titled History, politics and Government: Living on the borders and the rims he will talk about the role of contemporary historians, the union with Scotland and Britain’s membership of the European Union.
The talk will be at Durham University’s Elvet Riverside building, on New Elvet, Durham at 6pm.
