HUNDREDS of cyclists will take to the streets this weekend for an annual ride.
The ninth Durham Big Ride takes place on Sunday, setting off from County Hall at 9.30am.
There will be three routes through the countryside around Durham, the 25-mile Big Ride, the 10-mile Middle Ride while around 100 cyclists will take the three-mile Little Ride.
Organiser Colin Wilkes said: “The Durham Big Ride now very much a tradition in the City.
“We have lots of locals as well as from further afield taking part in a delightful, non-competitive ride that shows off some of the best countryside around.
“No matter what your riding experience is, the event is a great way to just get out on your bike.
“It is much more than just a bike ride with quality catering at the finish to entertainment to keep the younger ones happy, the whole day is a fun day to be out on the streets of Durham City.”
