A NORTH-East-born artist is about to stage his first exhibition in his home region.
Richard Studham was born in Stanley, County Durham but emigrated to Canada in 1960.
His exhibition A Paragon of Chivalry, based on the theme of medieval chivalry, will be on public display in Durham Cathedral’s Galilee Chapel as part of the Cathedral’s celebrations of the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta.
Rebecca Read, an exhibitions and events officer, said: “Richard Studham’s work is astonishing. We’re excited for the public to see his work back in County Durham for the first time.”
The exhibition will be open from Tuesday (August 25) to Sunday, September 20. Entry is free. For more information, visit durhamcathedral.co.uk/whatson
