COLLEGE students are organising a charity night as part of their studies.
Students from New College Durham working towards a foundation degree in event management were challenged to plan and stage an event to raise money for charity to support their studies.
Carol Stoker and her classmates decided to fundraise for Finchale Training College, which helps people with disabilities find work from its base at Brasside, near Durham.
Their Music Mash Up night will be held at the Slug and Lettuce pub, on Walkergate, Durham, on Thursday, April 16. There will be live music, DJs and other entertainment.
The doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are £4 if booked in advance, or £5 on the door.
To book, call Carol Stoker on 07743-693-603.
Councillor John Robinson is supporting Finchale Training College during his year as Mayor of Durham and lent his support to the students’ initiative.
