A WORLD Village market has returned to the region, offering a feast of flavours from across the globe for four days.
The market will be at Durham Market Place until Sunday, offering the city’s shoppers world foods as well as cashmere clothes, traditional wooden products, jewellery and decorations from Asia.
Colin Wilkes, managing director of Durham Markets, said: “Durham already has so much to offer, and the World Village Market brings even more choice for just a few days. We know people love meeting the traders, trying new foods and flavours, or picking up unique gifts, clothes and homewares.”
The regular Durham Outdoor Market will take place as usual on Saturday, and over 50 independent traders will also be present in the Market Hall.
The event co-ordinator, Paul Kennedy said: “We are delighted to be returning to Durham, where we have always received a very warm welcome from both the local community and visitors from further afield.”
