A SCHOOL’S junior pupils have been demonstrating their baking skills – with sales of their creative products going to charity committed to ending child hunger.

Inspired by the hit TV series, students at Durham High School for Girls, held their fourth DHS Bake-Off today (Monday, October 13).

Over the weekend children donned their aprons to bake their entry, which they brought into school.

The nursery and reception children baked their creations offering in school, because of their age.

Head of Junior House Katherine Anderson said: “All girls from nursery to Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed baking some wonderful creations in support of our DHS Bake off.

“This a very successful event in Junior House, which is now in its fourth year, supporting Action Against Hunger – a very worthwhile cause.

“My congratulations to all our young bakers.”

For a fee of £1 girls entered their creations, which were displayed before being sold.

Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger.
