GRUMPY Old Women writer Judith Holder will be guest of honour at a North-East charity lunch later this week (Friday, April 25).
Ms Holder, co-author of the original stage show, will address St Cuthbert’s Hospice’s annual Ladies’ Lunch at Beamish Hall Hotel, near Stanley, County Durham, on Friday.
A former bereavement support volunteer at a hospice, she said she was very much looking forward to the event.
Fiona Vallis, the Durham hospice’s deputy chief executive, said she was delighted Ms Holder would be participating.
The event, which starts at 11am, will also include a drinks reception, two-course lunch, craft and jewellery stall.
