The lorry overturned on Stockerley Lane
A DRIVER escaped uninjured after the lorry he was driving overturned on a busy road.
The accident happened just before 3pm today on Stockerley Lane, which runs from the A691 Delves Lane, near Consett.
The road was closed while emergency services recovered the vehicle and traffic, including school buses, was diverted via Leadgate.
Police said the man driving the vehicle was not hurt and refused offers of medical attention.
