CYCLISTS are being asked to sign up for a 30-mile charity ride.
The Pedal For Pounds charity bike ride takes place on Sunday, September 27 to raise money for Willow Burn Hospice.
Fundraisers will set off at 9.30am from Lydgett’s Junction near Consett and follow the Waskerley Way over the moors into Weardale.
The route will pass through Edmundbyers and Muggleswick, before looping back to Lanchester then back uphill following the railway path to Consett.
Registration is £10 per person. A second ten-mile family ride will take place from Consett to Lanchester and back.
