TWO women have been taken to hospital after being freed from their vehicle by firefighters.
Police and fire crews were called to the collision in Lanchester Road, Lanchester, County Durham, earlier this morning.
Two fire crews from Consett and the special rescue unit from Bishop Auckland attended the incident.
County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said two women had been freed by firefighters using specialist holmatro rescue equipment.
