POLICE are keen to trace a teenager who has gone missing from his home in Consett for the second time.
Fifteen-year-old Alex Richards went missing on Thursday, May 7, shortly after he had been located following a previous absence of several days.
PC Katrina Meisuria said that concern is growing for the teenager’s welfare as he is without medication he needs.
She added: “I would urge Alex to contact police so we can establish he is safe and well.
“Without the medication he requires his well-being is at risk and as times goes by we are increasingly concerned for him.”
Alex is 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build with short light brown hair.
He is known to have links with Newcastle city centre, North Shields, Byker and Wallsend.
Anyone with information regarding Alex’s whereabouts should contact Durham Constabulary on 101.
