METAL THEFT: Durham COnstabulary are appealing for witnesses to Consett factory burglary
BURGLARS have stolen a tonne of metal during a raid at a factory.
Intruders broke into KC Engineering on Hownsgill Drive in Consett over the weekend and stole 100 metal blocks.
The theft happened at some point between 4pm on Friday (Dec 19) and 11am on Sunday (Dec 21).
Police say the metal blocks would have weighed about a tonne in total and are silver in colour and some of them are marked with the phrase ‘DOXFORD HMC 71’
Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham Police on 101 and ask for extension 732463.
