AS the Angel of the North gets set to celebrate 20 years next month Go North East has spent £4.5m on 19 double-deck buses for its Newcastle to Chester-le-Street service.
To help cope with increased demand on the Angel 21 service, the bus firm has bought larger and greener buses, accommodating 16 extra passengers an hour, every seven to eight minutes between Newcastle and Chester-le-Street.
