A TEAM-building treasure hunt to help workmates keep fit will be launched next week.
County Durham Sport is to launched the Tech-Know Trail during the County Durham Workplace Games competition to be held at Fyndoune Community College in Sacriston on September 15.
The system uses GPS tracking in a treasure hunt which includes trivia and fun challenges.
It is being offered as part of County Durham Sport’s Active Workplace programme to get more people to take part in physical activities, including beginners’ running groups and office-based fitness challenges.
Ian Gardiner, executive director at County Durham Sport said: “We have had an excellent response to the programme so far and are really looking forward to the launch.”
Gemma Sparrow, from National Probation Service who tried out the trail, said: “Tech-Know Trail was excellent - the whole team fully enjoyed it.”
The County Durham Workplace Games competition will also feature sporting challenges including archery, football and traditional sports day races.
