PLANS for a superhero-themed fireworks display in north Durham have been unveiled.

Stanley Events is working with Durham Agency Against Crime and The Fire Fighters Charity to organise the Bonfire Night fun in Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street.

The full evening of entertainment will also include a fun fair, live music, food and refreshments, plus a superhero fancy dress competition

A pound from every ticket sold will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity and Durham Agency Against Crime.

Carl Marshall, of Stanley Events, said: “We are really looking forward to providing a first class family event in Chester-le-Street, and supporting some really worthwhile charities.”

The gates open at 5pm and the display will start at 7pm on Saturday, November 5. Tickets £5, and children under six go free.

Limited on-site car parking will also be available, but this must be booked in advance via the website. Tickets are on sale and are available from www.riversidefireworks.co.uk.
