A ROBBER threatened a female member of staff with a knife at a newsagents this morning.
Durham Police are appealing for information after the man then stole a quantity of cah from the till of Cooks Corner Newsagents in Ouston, near Chester-le-Street.
It happened at about 11.45am at the Primrose Gardens store.
A spokesman for Durham Police said: "He threatened a female staff member with a knife.
"The suspect stole a quantity of cash from a till which were a mixture of notes and coins before leaving the scene."
It is believed he may have got in to a small two door green motor vehicle which is also believed to have travelled through Ouston towards the Team Valley area.
He was seen to be in company of a blonde haired female and another male as they left the area.
