THE talented young students of a vocal tutor take to the stage for charity this week.

Katie Glaister, Bryn Haswell and Abby Dolan, who study with Helena Davidson-Webber will perform in a showcase at the Red Lion pub, Front Street, Chester-le-Street, on Friday (April 26) at 7.30pm.

Proceeds from the event will go to the charity Hell and Toe, which provides free conductive education for children with disabilities. Katie Glaister, 16, from East Durham, has appeared at the Stockton International Riverside F estival and made the regional finals of Teenstar recently.

Abby Dolan, nine, from Sunderland, has appeared in Oliver at Newcastle Theatre Royal and has been in Snow White at Durham’s Gala Theatre. She is in the area finals of Teenstar. Bryn Haswell, 20, from Newcastle, released a single for the charity CHUFF and has performed at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.

Ms Davidson-Webber said: “I have been teaching and also mentoring all three artistes.

“ My teaching includes using the dartboard Theory, which I developed about four years ago and has been very succssesful in lessons “.
