FAMILIES will be able to get advice on benefits, debt, housing and other issues at new regular drop-in sessions.

The Citizens Advice Bureau has set up new two sessions in the Durham City area to offer free, independent and confidential advice on a range of issues.

A weekly drop-in will be held every Thursday, between 9.30am and 12.30pm, at Laurel Avenue Children’s Centre, The Woodlands, Sherburn Road, where a worker from the local CAB will be available.

A similar session will also be held at Ushaw Moor Children’s Centre on the third Thursday of every month between 11am and noon.

Residents calling into their local children’s centres in Brandon, Kelloe, Sherburn Hill and Sacriston will be able to have a telephone consultation with a CAB worker.
