STEPHANIE Murphy’s artistic talents won her a new television in an Easter egg painting competition.
The ten-year-old Chester-le-Street Church of England Junior School Year Five pupil’s effort was judged the best out of more than 300.
Stephanie, from Hilda Park, also won a chocolate treat in the competition run by the Chester-le-Street-based 0800 Repair Appliance Centre.
The competition asked children from Cestria Primary School, Red Rose Primary and Chester-le-Street Church of England Junior School to create an egg in the likeness of their favourite character.
Stephanie received her prize from 0800 Repair shop manager Kevin Gray, who said: "The entries were so good that we decided to display the best ones in the shop window over Easter. "The children were thrilled to see their creations on display - they put a great amount of time and effort into creating the eggs and it was a really difficult task deciding on the winner."
A thrilled Stephanie, whose winning entry was called Tawn Egg Owl, said: "I was so excited when I heard that my egg had won and I couldn’t believe I had won a brand new TV.
