A SHOPPING centre’s series of Summer Sundays began with a circus theme at the weekend.
The Prince Bishops shopping centre, in Durham, is hosting free themed summer activities on Sundays throughout August.
The first, on Sunday, August 1, featured a bungee trampoline, face painter, stilt walker and magician.
Centre manager Richard Toynbee said: "The circus theme really got the Summer Sundays off to a bang. It was lovely to see the kids with their faces painted and bringing some colour to the centre."
Harry Potter is the theme for the next event on Sunday, August 8. Teddy bears will take over on Sunday, August 15; Dr Who will be the theme for Sunday, August 22; and there will be a carnival flavour to conclude the programme on Sunday, August 29.
