A WILDLIFE trust is running a camping weekend for families to find out more about nature.
Camp Derwent, at Derwent Reservoir, near Consett, will offer families the chance to find out more about red squirrels, bats and birds and take part in woodland treasure trails and activities.
Zoe Hull, from Durham Wildlife Trust, said: “It is an event that will leave families exhilarated and invigorated by spending time in wild places and with the confidence to make small positive changes to their interaction with wildlife.”
It takes place from August 24-25.
Those taking part are asked to bring camping gear and food. It costs £25 per person and is free for children under the age of five.
