A PHOTO club is snap happy after sweeping the board at an awards night.
Nine camera clubs contested the annual Northern Counties Photographic Federation’s Wear area competition, held in Washington on Friday (November 20).
But Durham Photographic Society emerged on top, finishing 16 points ahead of Bishop Auckland Photographic Society in second place – the biggest winning margin in the competition’s 30-year history. Sunderland Photographic Association was placed third.
Also, two images from Durham members were judged to be the best submitted. Michael Watson’s Alcedo at his fishing gained the maximum 30 points and Sandra Hewitson’s Frozen Dune was awarded 29.
The judge was Simon Allen, of Dumfries.
