A TRIAL date has been agreed in the case of two men accused of being involved in the supply of a range of drugs.

Appearing jointly at a plea hearing at Durham Crown Court, Carlo Renata Fella and Steven Mark Kidd denied a total of five charges relating to possession of illegal class A, B and C substances.

Forty-year-old Kidd pleaded ‘not guilty’ to possessing diamorphine, better known as heroin, and diazepam with intent to supply on dates in May and June last year.

Fella, 42, denied possessing cocaine, cannabis and diazepam, with intent to supply, all on June 20 last year.

The case will go to trial at the court on a day in the first week of June, with an estimated duration of between one and two days.

Judge Simon Hickey adjourned the hearing and bailed Fella, of Anthony Court, and Kidd, of Park Road, South Moor, both Stanley, until the trial, in the week beginning Monday June 1.
