A HOSPICE is taking part in national Hospice Care Week.

St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Durham City, is asking people to join the Count Me In pledge to spread the word about hospice care during the week, which runs until Sunday (October 13).

Chief executive Paul Marriott said: “St Cuthbert’s are delighted to support this national campaign and push end of life care to the top of the agenda.

“One of our main aims is to ensure the people of Durham are able to make informed and practical choices about where they want to be at the end of life and national campaigns like the one run by Help the Hospices help ensure we can locally make it a priority.”
