A MOUNTAIN bike worth £1,050 has been stolen in a break-in at a house.
The raid took place in Beaumaris, Bournmoor, near Chester-le-Street, between 11.50pm Tuesday night (October 1) and 7am on Wednesday(October 2).
The machine, which was taken from a garage, is a women's Cube WLS SL bike with a 15-inch turquoise and black frame and 30 gears.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the burglary or the whereabouts of the bike to contact them.
They should call PC Ian Choake at Chester-le-Street police station on the police non-emergency number 101.
They can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
