THE Mayor of Seaham, councillor Sue Morrison and consort Steven Greenhalgh, host a charity night at New Seaham Conservative Club.
Organised by the club, it will feature a range of entertainment, raffles and bingo, with all funds raised to go towards the Mayor’s fund to assist worthwhile causes in the town.
Tickets for the event, on Tuesday March 12, starting at 7.30pm, are available for £3 from Chris Halliday, at Seaham Town Council’s Adelaide Row civic offices, in Seaham, or by ringing 0191-581-8034.

SILVER STATUS: Kier, a contractor which carries out improvements and refurbishes former council housing stock in east Durham, has earned silver accreditation in the NHS’s Better Health at Work programme.
It reflects Kier’s efforts to improve the health of its workforce, 95 per cent of whom come from the east Durham area.
The company has promoted healthy eating among employees, as well as taken part in awareness campaigns in areas including mental health and well-being, plus drug and alcohol abuse.
