AN ANTI-racism march is to be held this weekend.
The rally, organised by the Tyneside Community Action for Refugees group, will be held in Newcastle city centre on Saturday January 19.
Campaigners with banners and placards are to march from Westgate Road to the Grey's Monument in the centre of town to call for improved rights for asylum seekers and refugees.
Up to 100 people including church members, activists and volunteers, are expected to attend.
Participants are asked to meet at the old fire station at Westgate Road, near the General Hospital, at 12pm.
