A dance school from Darlington enjoyed a successful trip to the World Freestyle Championships at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
The Joanne Lowe School of Dance came away with a world champion in the freestyle solo section - Ellie Hughes won her Under 10's world beginners championship category. Meanwhile Ellie-Jade Anderson and Charlie Nicholson came sixth in the Under 14's beginners freestyle pairs.
Lucy Beattie also got sixth place in her Adult Youth style freestyle category.
Other dancers from the school who took part were Bobby-Jane Buckle, Eloise Ross, Molly Herraghty, Tyler Lowe, Amelia Anderson, Hally Dixon, Rebecca Iveson and Grace Lowe.
