YOUNG performing arts have shown of their skills in their annual showcase event.
Members of ArtSpark youth theatre and dance groups took part in their final performance at Darlington Arts Centre, which closes next month.
There are nine youth theatre and dance groups based at the Arts Centre, for young people aged five to 19.
These groups have been working throughout the year, using the theme ‘weird and wonderful wonderland’ to create performances for the showcase.
This year, the groups have also had the privilege of working with Theatre Designer Alison Ashton, who has worked with the young people in various sessions to make costumes and props for their shows.
Youth theatre and dance sessions will continue after the closure of the Arts Centre, managed by the same staff team, from a new base at Darlington Civic Theatre.
For more information on the youth theatre and dance courses, call Lyndsey Middleton, on 01325-387765.
