FROM April 1, motorists will not be able to park in any resident parking permit areas in Darlington on a Sunday, as is currently allowed. Thismeans parking in a resident parking area (without displaying a valid permit) between the hours of 8am and 6pm on a Sunday will be an offence. There are a few exceptions to this rule, including parking by emergency vehicles and loading/unloading from vehicles to an adjacent property - but this must be observed by a civil enforcement officer. To find out how to apply for a permit, or for more information, go to darlington. gov. uk/parking or call 01325388799. Until April 1, the hours of operation for resident parking are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
