CHILDREN from across Darlington are set to compete in two swimming galas, in an inter-school competition.

More than 200 children from different primary schools will take part in individual and relay races, in freestyle, backstroke and medley races.

The two galas will be split according to school size, The first gala will be held on Thursday at the Dolphin Centre, in Darlington, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Schools entered include: Yarm at Raventhorpe, Bishopton/Redmarshall, High Coniscliffe, Polam Hall, Gurney Pease, Red Hall, St John’s, St Bede’s, Hurworth, Holy Family, St Augustine’s, Springfield and Cockerton.

The swimming gala for larger schools will be held on Thursday, March 22, at the Dolphin Centre, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Schools Entered include: St Teresa’s, Heighington, St George’s, Northwood, West Park Academy, Mowden, Harrowgate Hill, Heathfield, Corporation Road, Abbey and Whinfield.
