BRASS band that plays for enjoyment is looking for new members to boost its numbers.
The Cockerton Vintage Brass Band, which plays at Cockerton Working Mens Club, meets every Tuesday and mostly play for fun, apart from the occasional carol or fundraising concert.
The band is looking for new members who can play any kind of brass instrument.
Tom Cloughton, a member of the band, said: “There are only a small number of us and if someone is missing that means we miss out entire sections of the music. We are looking for people who perhaps used to play a brass instrument and might come along and play for fun now and again.
“We would prefer that they had their own instrument because we do not have a lot of spares, but if they feel they would like to come along and work with us we could point them in the direction of cheaper instruments.”
The band meets between 7.30pm and 9pm every Tuesday.
