An injury to Aaron Brown means that he is unavailable this evening’s game for which Darlington have made two changes at Hayes & Yeading.

The left-back is replaced by Phil Gray who makes his first start of the season while also coming into the line-up is Scott Harrison who is likely to play as a forward.

Liddle has been contemplating switching to a two-pronged attack so Dale Hopson, who has been playing just behind Ryan Bowman, is dropped to the bench.

With all of Quakers’ substitutes being teenagers, Hopson is one of eight players in the squad that are either currently in the youth team or came through the ranks.

Liddle’s side are looking to bring an end to a run that has seen them lose three in a row and failed to score in either of those three games.

Their last goal was a penalty, scored by Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, in the 1-1 draw at Gateshead on Boxing Day.

Among the Hayes & Yeading team is Phil Walsh, the son of Alan Walsh who is Darlington’s all-time leading scorer.

Also in their side is Pele, a 33-year-old defender formerly of West Brom and Southampton.

Handy, nickname of this evening’s hosts, are without a win in six matches, though on Saturday twice took the lead at Mansfield Town before losing 3-2 to a late penalty.
