THE best performers at a dance festival have been named.
Scores of pupils from 11 dance schools and academies took part in the event at Darlington Civic Theatre.
Winning dancers were: Kai Wilson, from Dance Wright Studio; Amara Gavriel, from Rachel Coad School of Dance; Millie Turley, from Born to Dance; Chris Pilbeam, from Xtreme Voltage Boys Dance Group; Sabrina Begum, from Bollywood Divas; Georgia Rogers-Smith, from Seven Performance Dance Company; Betty Cooke, from Happy Tappers; Lynn McCann, from Red Hall Dance Company; Lucy Booth from Tiffany School of Dance; Aimee Raw from Sonya Marie Academy of Dance; and Sarah Beadle from Toni's Dance Academy.
The Northern Echo incorrectly captioned two pictures in the piece about the dance festival in yesterday's paper.
The picture captioned as being Toni's Dance Academy should have said the Sonya Marie Academy of Dance, and the picture captioned Tiffany School of Dance should have read Toni's Dance Academy.
We also incorrectly stated that 12 schools took part. We apologise for the errors and any confusion they have caused.
