Manager Mark Cooper has fulfilled his promise to give a game to players that that have not been featuring of late, with St Louis-Hamilton making his debut.
Gray has previously made one appearance off the bench, and he comes into the XI while also added to the side are John McReady, Michael Smith, Gary Smith and Nathan Modest.
Making way are Sam Russell, Paul Arnison, Aaron Brown, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, Paul Terry and John Campbell.
Bottom-of-the-table Histon are playing their first game since their relegation was confirmed with a 2-0 defeat at Gateshead on Saturday.
Darlington, meanwhile, are ninth in the table and there very much outsiders to achieve a play-off spot. They are 11 points off the top five with 18 points to play for.
