Darlington have announced their squad numbers for next season with Kelvin Jack taking the number one jersey.

Along with Sam Russell, Jack is one of two goalkeepers to arrive at The Northern Echo Arena this summer.

The Trinidad & Tobago international takes the number one spot while Russell will wear 23 as he did during his previous spell at the club.

German left-back Dominik Werling will wear number 55 and in doing so becomes the first Darlington player to be given such a high number. He also wore the number while at Barnsley.

There is no number three, the traditional left-back number, and no seven either, but captain Ian Miller retains the number six shirt while returning striker Tommy Wright is number nine having worn 20 before leaving for Aberdeen in 2008.

Former Spennymoor midfielder Gareth Waite occupies the number eight shirt that was last season worn by Chris Lumsdon, who still has a oneyear contract with Quakers but has not been given a squad number.

With more signings on the way there are sure to be additions to the following squad list: 1 Kelvin Jack, 2 Paul Arnison, 4 Jamie Chandler, 5 Michael Brough, 6 Ian Miller, 8 Gareth Waite, 9 Tommy Wright, 10 Chris Senior, 11 Chris Moore, 12 Curtis Main, 14 Josh Gray, 15 Corey Barnes, 16 John McReady, 17 Michael Smith, 20 Gary Smith, 23 Sam Russell, 55 Dominik Werling ■ Quakers are holding a range of football courses during the school summer holidays in Darlington and Sedgefield.

The courses take place at Eastbourne Sports Complex in the town as well as at Sedgefield Community College and are aimed at boys and girls aged between five and 12.
