YOUNGSTERS have been designing posters to rid their village of dog fouling.

Sadberge's youth council has come up with the idea after raising two priority concerns for their village.

Children want to improve the play area and stop dog fouling in the village.

The council has helped to make posters which will be put up around the village urging dog owners to clear up after their pets.

There is one dog bin in the village but residents have previously discussed whether to have more installed.

A request for a new bin on a footpath behind Middleton Road between the village and the A66 will be discussed by parish councillors on Tuesday.

The path is popular with dog walkers and some residents have complained that bags are thrown into their gardens.

The parish council meeting takes place on Tuesday, April 13, at 6.30pm in the village hall.
