PANTO stars set about spreading Christmas cheer when they visited children in hospital yesterday.
Dressed in costume, cast members from Jack and the Beanstalk at Darlington Civic Theatre handed out presents of selection boxes at the children's ward in Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Among the visitors were Pete Hillier - better known to fans as CBeebies Boogie Pete - who plays Jack; Steve Arnott, who is Dame Trot; and Newcastle-born Sarah Wales, who won the part of the Princess, following the theatre’s Search for a Panto Princess competition.
Ms Wales said: “I was delighted to visit the children at the hospital and watch their faces as we walked in, as were all of us who visited.
“It is always nice to bring cheer to the children at this time of year.”
The pantomime runs until Sunday, January 18. For tickets, call the box office on 01325-486555.
