A HEADTEACHER got in touch with his feminine side to take part in spot of festive entertainment for pupils.
Hurworth School Maths and Computing College headteacher Dean Judson donned a dress and wig to play one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella, performed by staff for pupils yesterday.
He was joined by teacher Simon Ferry, who played the other ugly sister, geography teacher Simon Gray, as the pantomime dame, modern languages teacher Lisa Armes as Cinderella and teacher Charlene Mathieson as Prince Charming.
Also taking roles were head of religious studies Michael McMonigle, who played the Fairy Godfather and his side-kick, literacy co-ordinator Tracy Minshull, and maths teacher Andy Tighe, who played the panto villain.
The pantomime was written by staff to include lots of local references.
Food technology teacher Rita Rees, who was in the audience, said: βIt was fantastic. The children loved it. It was the best thing I have ever seen in my life.β
