TWO business colleagues have slashed prices at their designer store after their favourite football team crashed out of the Champions League.
Kenneth Dagleish and Shane Fairholm have launched a half-price sale at Dapper Designer Menswear, on Houndgate Mews, Darlington.
The pair, who are both Liverpool football fans, agreed to come up with the unique sale both the clubs Champions League tie with Chelsea.
They promised to hold the sale if Liverpool were defeated in the semi-finals.
After last nights 3-2 defeat, meaning Chelsea won 4-3 on aggregate to reach the final, the pair have gone through with their promise.
The sale started yesterday and will run for the next week.
Mr Fairholm, manager of the store, said: "I have had to come up early this morning to start marking things down.
"I have spoken to Kenneth this morning already and obviously he has a pet lip on. But we are men of our word.
"Everything has been dropped to half price."
The store was opened last year. They sell a range of designer clothes.
