Fresh from losing their first league game of the season, Darlington manager Dave Penney is threatening to make changes for tomorrow's visit of Peterborough United.

Quakers remain top of the table, despite last week's defeat at MK Dons when Darlington were largely defensive in their approach.

Penney believes Quakers may have to show a more attacking edge tomorrow in their return to the Balfour Webnet Darlington Arena, for what is the first of four home games in just over a fortnight.

The manager has selected the same line-up in each of the last two games but, asked if the team picked itself for tomorrow's clash, Penney said: "Not really. We are at home and need to be a little bit more positive so there's a couple of things we can do.

"We worked on it in training and we'll make a decision on Friday afternoon.

"There are a couple of areas we could change. We feel we can get a bit more quality on the ball in certain areas and be more positive with us being at home."

On Wednesday the reserves, featuring Kevin McBride, Clark Keltie and Gregg Blundell, lost 2-1 at Sheffield United and Penney says the second string are giving him options.

Last week they beat Leeds 1-0 and he said: "That's the whole point in having a good squad. There's people in the reserves knocking on the door of the team.

"They were excellent against Leeds so we've got to get some consistency so that they are ready to come and play in the first-team. But I wouldn't be afraid to use any of the squad, they could all do a job."

Neil Austin will not feature tomorrow as he still sidelined with an ankle injury
