A DISABLED pensioner - battling to organise a Dad's Army convention - has had her car and home targeted by vandals with guns.

Josie Collins, from Anfield Court, Red Hall, had the back window of her car shot through by vandals with an air rifle on Tuesday night.

Later that night, after police had left, the vandals returned and smashed the passenger window of Mrs Collins car. They also threw concrete had her front door, damaging it.

Mrs Collins, a leading fan of cult tv who organises fan conventions, said yesterday she was still shaking after the attack. She believes she was targeted because she is regarded as the "moron of the court."

"I am still shaking, and it's not often I get the shakes," she said. "I had two epileptic fits after the attacks.

"I think the second lot of damage was caused because I called the police after the first time.

"The first window was smashed about 8.20pm. I called the police but after they left, about 8.50pm, the other window was smashed.

"They were throwing cement at the door. I thought it was going to cave in.

"I called the police back again, but they didnt find who was responsible. The mess this morning is terrible and I cant clear it up."

Mrs Collins says has been regularly targeted while living in Red Hall. She has had her house windows smashed, and the tyres on her car slashed.

"It's because I am regarded as The Moron of the Court," she said. "I don't know why but we are targeted.

"Every window on the house has been smashed. The tyres were slashed earlier this year.

"We have an idea who is responsible. I just don't know why they do it."

* Tickets are still available for a Dad's Army convention organised by Mrs Collins which will be held in Darlington later for all fans of it this month. Frank Williams, who played the vicar and Scott Frederick have been signed up for the event. The latest confirmed guest is writer Dean Wilkinson, from Ingleby Barwick, who wrote gags for Timmy Mallet. It takes place at the town's Dolphin Centre on Saturday, October 6, and Sunday, October 7.
