Charity AGM

AGE UK Darlington and North Yorkshire’s AGM will be held at Bradbury House on Beaumont Street West from 6pm on Thursday, September 20. This year’s speaker will be the charity’s current CEO, Gillian Peel, who will be stepping down from her role next month.

Pop-up cafe

THE next Food for Thought communal meals will be held at Darlington’s Community Fire Station from 4.30pm until 6pm on Friday, August 17 and Friday, August 31. The pop-up cafe events allow the community to come together to share food donated by supermarkets and businesses. All are welcome, with diners encouraged to ‘pay as they feel’ by donating money or other items, such as tinned food or clothes to exchange for a meal.

Summer walk

DARLINGTON Historical Society will host its next summer walk on Sunday, August 19. Richard Stephenson will lead ‘A Dead Interesting Walk Around the West Cemetery’. Participants should meet at the cemetery’s front entrance at 1pm. Admission is £1.

Green Theatre

TICKETS are now available for Green Theatre’s next production, Much Ado About Caesar. Abridged versions of Julius Caesar and Much Ado About Nothing will be staged at Theatre Hullabaloo on October 11, 12 and 13 from 7.30pm and at St Augustine’s Parish Centre on October 19 and 20 at 7.30pm.
